Belleville, ON (Aug. 1, 2017) – Ross McDougall, CEO of McDougall Insurance and Financial, announced today that McDougall has merged with Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance, effective immediately, and is pleased to welcome the employees of Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance into the McDougall organization.
Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance is a very successful broker operating out of Peterborough with 22 employees. They now join with McDougall Insurance and Financial to form an independent broker with 30 offices in Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley and 330 employees with over $250 million in property casualty premium and a strong and rapidly growing financial services division.
All Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance employees will remain with the organization and their branch office location will continue. All members of Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance management team including the current owners Eric Monkman and Dave Smith will continue with the organization after this merger.
Monkman Gracie Johnston Insurance is an excellent fit with the McDougall organization which is split with both commercial and personal lines as well as financial services. The merger will greatly enhance our reach in Eastern Ontario as it adds a new location where we have not previously been active.
