2018 ICTA Winner & Runners-Up

This year's ICTA winner was the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan. OTIP integrated a number of technology platforms to enable a new digital channel to “capture the Digital Age customer”; this project improved retention and sales.

The first runner-up was Kanetix.ca, who added data from their offline call centre to machine learning functions within Google Adwords, lowering costs while increasing customer acquisition.

Technology by Kanetix Digital.

The second runner-up, Benecaid, implemented Honeybee, a fully digital benefits processing system which enables employers to define a benefits plan, and employees to onboard and submit claims – all digitally.

People's Choice Awards

The Co-operators and CUMIS developed “Home to Be,” a public app to assist home buyers by providing details including the cost of homes, as well as potential mortgage and insurance fees.

Technology by IBM.

The first runner-up was Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan, as above.

The second runner-up was LGM Financial Services. LGM developed a fully digital program, which dramatically improved the ability of OEM auto manufacturers to execute sales campaigns and administer the resulting sales of finance and insurance products through car dealerships.
