Oliver s Releases General Insurance Exam Prep

Olivers Learning, a provider of educational materials and training to the financial services industry, has published a book of content highlights and exam calibre Q&A to help students prepare for the General Insurance exam in Ontario. The book, General Insurance Exam Prep, featuring over 300 questions, has been developed in association with OTL industry experts to be an accurate representation of the types and variety of questions that students will face on the exam.

Olivers Learning has been providing study guides, and exam preparation tools and training for the financial services industry for 25 years. The Olivers Advantage Life License Qualification Program is a complete package of preparation materials for life insurance licensing, and has garnered remarkable popularity for its ability to help students pass the first time.

In January 2008, Olivers launched a new product, General Insurance Exam Prep, with the goal of providing the same level of success for students taking the General Insurance (OTL) exam in Ontario. The book is based on the General Insurance Essentials course put out by the Insurance Institute of Canada, and acts as a supplemental exam preparation tool to this course of study.

Lila Campbell, editorial director at Olivers, says the book was developed to fill a need. The general insurance industry in Canada is very significant, and we felt we could produce a book to help students succeed at the exam and start their careers in this industry, Campbell commented. With the help of industry experts experienced in training students for the exam, the book makes review and practice available to the student in their own home.

Too often students are unsuccessful because they simply read through the materials, and enter the exam without understanding the practical implications of their studies. The General Insurance Exam Prep is unique in that it breaks the material down into short chapters, highlights the key information in that chapter, and follows each review with a series of five-part multiple choice questions designed to test the students understanding of the terminology, concepts, and uses of the material.

The exam prep book is a wonderful learning tool because it helps students practice the type of questions they will see on the exam, before writing the exam. A book like this, that sets up scenario questions alongside information recollection questions, gives the student that edge they need to approach the exam with confidence.
