CDRG Announces New Member – JD Restorations

Having started in the restoration business back in 1974, JD Restorations witnessed the rapidly changing landscape of the industry over the years. Prior to starting his own restoration company John Dubeau had worked in the construction retail & supplier end of things with Beaver Lumber & Glidden Paints.

In the early stages of his restoration business John was pioneering the benchmarks that make up our industry today such as creating the *Total Package* concept by offering complete restoration services all under one roof. They were also the first to move forward with computer unit pricing assisting State Farm and the Cooperators in setting up their own computer system. JD Restorations saw benefit in streamlining the mitigation process by employing most of the trades and sub-contracting out very little. Further, they did their own flooring, carrying the samples & dealing directly with the flooring suppliers. This enabled them to garner quite the reputation for handling large losses across the GTA.

As an alumni of the National Institute of Fire Restoration, JD Restorations ensured their staff took every course they offered for over 20 years. Moreover, John Dubeau is the 75th to obtain his Certified Restorer designation, no small accolade in our industry. In the late nineties the company downsized to focus on quality and customer service. In the fall of 2007, alongside his son-in-law & daughter, John became principal owner of CHDS (Canadian Hazmat and Decon Services) who specialize in the abatement of any type of biological or hazardous materials specializing in Crime & Trauma clean up in the GTA, Halton Peel Region & the Niagara Peninsula. CHDS is a completely separate entity to JD Restorations.

Driven to service his community, John Dubeau and his team are well equipped to handle any type loss. By joining CDRG, JD Restorations will be able harness our growing network and offer unparalleled solutions to his current client base. We believe this new synergy will create positive opportunities for CDRG and it’s members alike.

The Certified Restorer (CR) Certification Program focuses on damage repair and raising committed restorers to a higher level of professional ability. Colelectively as a group CDRG now counts over 10 Certified Restorers (CR).

Please join us in welcoming JD Restorations to Canada’s largest independent network of restoration specialists.
