Drive® Insurance From Progressive Unveils Redesigned Web Site For Independent Agents And Brokers

New Web site provides access to most important features in two or fewer clicks

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio – January 19, 2006 – ForAgentsOnly.com (FAO) – the password-protected Web site that Drive agents and brokers use to quote and service their customers – has unveiled a new home page design and site navigation that makes it even easier for them to take care of business. Drive® Insurance from Progressive is the number one auto insurance brand sold through independent agents and brokers in the country, as based on premiums written.

The redesigned site offers agents and brokers:

  • A new home page that includes an at-a-glance summary of what they need to know and do with their Drive business daily, with a focus on writing new business and servicing their customers. This includes a real-time list of policies that need service, customer referrals and claims activity.

  • A new and improved main menu and more intuitive site navigation to help them access the tools they use most often in just one or two mouse clicks.

  • A new, dynamic news format that is updated more frequently and highlights information most relevant to their business.

When the redesign process started in the spring of 2005, Drive solicited input from agents and brokers to better understand how they use the site and what types of changes would make it faster and easier to use. Drive continued to review progress with the agents throughout the redesign.

“The redesigned ForAgentsOnly.com Web site is even better than the old site,” said Debbie Coin of Susan P. Triggiani Agency, Springfield, Pennsylvania. “Everything I need to know to service my Drive customers is now front and center on the home page. I don’t need to navigate through a lot of pages to get to the information I need, and that’s a real benefit now that we’re paperless and no longer receive hard copies of customer notices. I also like the numerous shortcuts for things like viewing policies and making payments.”

“Drive is committed to helping independent agents and brokers improve their workflow, and we think they’ll be delighted with what they see when they login to the redesigned FAO Web site,” said Tom Hollyer, experience business leader for Drive. “We recognize that agents and brokers want to service their own customers. Our job is to help them do that in less time and with even less effort than before. So our goal for the redesign was to give agents faster, ‘one-or-two-click’ access to the wide variety of tools and information available on FAO – the tools they use daily to quote, process endorsements and payments, get policy information and more.”

The redesign will also serve as a launch pad for even more useful functionality, currently under development. For instance, FAO will soon be the main portal for the Drive agency participation program, and will provide agents and brokers with access to a broad menu of Drive marketing opportunities, such as signs, direct mail, radio, billboards, Yellow Page ads, and more, all designed to help them promote their agencies. Drive expects to introduce this functionality in February 2006.
