Sapiens DECISION, powered by The Decision Model, will be the first solution to reach BDMM level 4 certification
Cary, N.C. April 26, 2011 Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (NASDAQ and TASE: SPNS), a global provider of innovative software solutions and a member of the Formula Group (NASDAQ: FORTY and TASE: FORT), announced today that it has partnered with Knowledge Partners International, LLC (KPI), the originator of The Decision Model, a thought leader and innovator in the field of Business Decision Modeling and Requirements, to deliver DECISION – an innovative business decision management solution – to the market.
The solution, recently selected by a large US financial institution, helps companies improve their decision management processes. Leveraging Sapiens” innovative architecture and The Decision Model, Sapiens will now offer the first software solution to be certified as Business Decision Maturity Model (BDMM) level 4.
Sapiens DECISION empowers large organizations to author and manage both high volume and strategic business decisions, containing complex business rules, across the enterprise without the intervention of IT. This will result in higher levels of business agility with more transparent processes. Consistent with BDMM level 4, the risk and cost of change are reduced, resulting in a superior overall decision management experience, shorter times to market and a reduction in the cost of managing in today”s regulated markets.
Using Sapiens DECISION, business rules are written in an easily-understood format, using standard business terminology, and are traceable from their sources. Factors impacting the process may be evaluated and measured. Coupled with a stack of open and standard technology based on J2EE, DECISION is suitable for an enterprise-level environment.
Sagi Schliesser, CTO of Sapiens International Corporation commented, “We continuously seek to introduce innovative solutions to the market, and leverage our experience in delivering large scale business solutions. DECISION provides a unique value proposition as it was designed from the business need to visually manage the organization’s “knowledge base”, mapped onto the operational systems, such as ERP, and allows potential changes to be easily and transparently managed into best decisions. “
Larry Goldberg, Managing Partner of Knowledge Partners International, LLC (KPI), and co-author of the book “The Decision Model: A Business Logic Framework Linking Business and Technology” said, “Barbara von Halle, our founder, and I are excited to see the innovative technology that is built specifically to support The Decision Model and the enterprise scale of Business Decision Management implicit at BDMM level 4. Business logic is what drives the decisions in all businesses. Instead of trying to manage the logic one-business-rule at a time, The Decision Model groups the rules into their natural logical sets, creating a structure that makes the model so simple to understand, communicate and manage. We have chosen to partner with Sapiens for their ability to deliver a robust business decision management solution that represents business logic to business users.”
