New online home for SGI’s salvage vehicle sales

New platform offers a user-friendly, personalized experience

Regina, SK (Dec. 1, 2022) – SGI is pleased to announce it is moving its salvage vehicle sales to a new website that will offer a more accessible, quality and consistent auction process.

Customers will notice a number of improvements from the new live auction platform:

  • Mobile friendly site
  • Detailed vehicle photos (including 360-degree views of vehicle exteriors and interiors)
  • Online payment options
  • Auction notifications
  • Enhanced vehicle searches
  • Account customizations
  • An overall personalized experience

The new platform is hosted by IAA, Inc. (formerly Impact Auto Auctions), which has extensive experience in salvage vehicle auctions. This move will introduce efficiencies for SGI while improving customer experience.

“Our customers have been looking for more consistency in the pictures of our vehicles, the ability to make payments online and for a better online experience overall,” said SGI President Penny McCune. “This platform allows us to deliver an easy-to-navigate online experience, with quality, consistent photos and online or in-person payment options.”

Customers can sign up now to view SGI vehicles and get familiar with the new process before SGI’s first sale on Dec. 6, 2022.

Initial registration fees will be waived for new Saskatchewan customers who sign up for an IAA account before Jan. 31, 2023 – giving them a free account for a year.  Customers interested in placing pre-bids or live online bids on SGI salvage vehicles who sign up after Jan. 31 must pay an annual fee to register as a buyer with IAA. Their registration will give them the ability to bid on other vehicles from other salvage sellers as well.

SGI’s last sale on the current site closed on Nov. 23 and the results are available until Dec. 7. SGI vehicles are on the new platform now, with more being added ahead of the first sale.
