Toronto, ON (Nov. 13, 2014) – The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce that Wawanesa Insurance has achieved CSIO Certification for its eDocs solution.
“Wawanesa Insurance is excited to have received certification from CSIO for our eDocs program, which is currently in use in approximately 600 of our brokers’ offices across Canada. We expect more brokers to get on board as a result of this certification,” says Chris Luby, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Luby states that eDocs aligns with Wawanesa’s corporate goal to “enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of delivering products and services.”
Brokers registering for eDocs will no longer receive paper copies of policy declarations, assisting with controlling printing and mailing costs. The postage and production savings will be passed on to Wawanesa’s policyholders, corresponding with one of the core principles of a mutual company.
CSIO Certification is available to member insurance companies and vendors. eDocs is the first business activity available for certification, with plans to expand the program to cover other activities.
“We congratulate Wawanesa Insurance on obtaining CSIO Certification for eDocs,” says Catherine Smola, President & CEO of CSIO. “With certification, Wawanesa Insurance demonstrates its commitment to standardized solutions and efficient workflows for its broker partners, reducing costs and supporting exceptional customer service.”
Visit CSIO to learn more about the certification program.
Wawanesa Insurance brokers can use the CSIO eDocs Savings Calculator to determine their daily, monthly and yearly savings in time and money from adopting eDocs. Featuring a user-friendly interface, the eDocs Calculator is available in both English and French.
