Keal Technology Delivers Economical Insurance CSIO XML eDocs Solution

Toronto, ON (Nov. 25, 2013) – Keal Technology, a leading Canadian provider of broker
management systems, has announced CSIO XML eDocs are now available for their Economical Insurance broker
partners. Economical brokerages using Keal’s Broker Management System (BMS), sigXP can now fully automate
the retrieval and download of electronic declaration pages for personal lines and Individually Rated
Commercial Auto (IRCA). Economical is the first insurer to offer IRCA via the eDocs process.

The eDocs process uses Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) data standards to transmit over EDI
attaching an XML message to the transmission. The eDocs process implemented by Keal automatically attaches
a pdf copy of declaration pages directly to the insured’s file in sigXP without human intervention on a brokerdefined
schedule. sigXP automatically creates an Activity (historical record) with each eDoc transaction for
brokers to search, report or audit against. eDocs is supported by Keal’s BMS, sigXP and Document Management
System, dokXP.

Pat Durepos, President of Keal Technology, said: “We applaud Economical for being the first to include IRCA
declaration pages in the eDocs process. Our brokers are saving hours each day with Keal’s hands-free method
that automatically attaches each eDoc to the client file in sigXP. Economical brokers will experience even
greater results with the wider selection of eDocs transmitted.”

“Keal’s implementation of eDocs for Economical brokers brings significant efficiency gains because of the
automatic attachment of personal lines and IRCA declaration pages. CSIO is very pleased that Keal and
Economical are leveraging the CSIO eDocs standard to deliver improved workflow efficiencies for their broker
partners” said Catherine Smola, President of CSIO.

“The Economical/sigXP eDocs process is saving us 1 hour of processing time each day. We no longer have to
receive paper downloaded from Economical’s portal” said Dario Battista, President, Belpac Capri Insurance
Brokers Ltd. “Each eDoc is automatically attached to the client file in sigXP, and we only have to look at
unmatched exceptions which very rarely happen. We can’t wait for more carriers to offer eDocs, this is giving
our staff more time to service our clients.”

Jorge Arruda, Economical’s senior vice-president, sales, distribution and underwriting operations added
“Automatically pushing electronic policy declaration pages to our brokers is a much more efficient and
streamlined process for our brokers. There are fewer touches required to get documents into their broker
management system where the critical information is readily available to all staff in the broker’s operations.
Brokers who elect to turn on the eDocs option will no longer receive print copies of documents they will
receive electronically, which helps keep the trees standing.”

Economical joins Aviva, Intact, RSA, Portage Mutual, Gore Mutual, and SGI CANADA as companies offering
eDocs to Keal clients. Additional companies will be announced shortly.
