Aviva Deploys eDocs Solution from Quindell Solutions

Quindell eDocs technology underpins Aviva Canada solution

Toronto, ON. (Jul. 4, 2013) – Quindell Portfolio PLC, a leading provider of software, consulting and technology-enabled outsourcing services to the insurance, telecommunications and other related markets is pleased to announce another successful implementation at Aviva Canada Insurance.

Aviva, a longtime Quindell customer, has successfully completed new development to enhance Aviva-Broker workflow. Quindell worked with Aviva to develop and deploy a Quindell and iter8 eDocs solution, for its brokers using communic8™, industry leading broker connectivity software.

Leveraging the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) XML standards, the Aviva eDocs process automatically locates, retrieves and sends electronic policy documents directly into the broker management system, attaching digital documents to the client file without broker intervention.

The solution supports all major Canadian broker management systems including Applied Systems’ TAM, Keal Technology sigXP, Zycomp Systems’ PowerBroker and CSSI TBW.

“This represents an important step in our ongoing efforts to improve our brokers’ ease of doing business,” said Greg Somerville, Executive Vice President of Broker Distribution at Aviva. “We are now able to send electronic policy documents from Aviva directly to the broker’s client file and integrate seamlessly into their workflow. This is a big win and we’re very pleased to be part of the industry eDocs solution.”

“eDocs is extremely important to brokers, as they can now maintain identical documents to those of the insurance carrier, received and stored in a fully automated manner,” added Tim Scurry, Chief Executive of Quindell Solutions Inc. “This represents just one more way Aviva is investing to improve connectivity with their channel partners, the brokers.”

The North American arm of Quindell’s Solutions Division, Quindell Solutions Inc, has delivered successful broker portal and download solutions for over 10 years. Adding eDocs capabilities represented a natural extension to the communic8™ product and several Quindell customers are now utilizing this capability. It represents recurring licenses and revenue to Quindell.

“We have successfully implemented iter8 solutions in Canada with over 30 insurers, and 60 implementations,” said Rob Terry, Founder and Executive Chairman of Quindell Portfolio plc. “Examples include our work with leading brands such as Aviva and Allstate to improve communication with brokers and consumers; with our portal solutions, demonstrated by recent wins with Unica; and through our recent real-time Insurance Canada Technology Award, critical for real-time consumer tractions as the Canadian market starts to adopt telematics usage and behaviour based insurance propositions. The type of information and communication platform in place by iter8 will be crucial to delivery for market participants.”
