NEW BERLIN, WI – June 26, 2007 – It can be an IT team’s nightmare: deployment of an upgrade to a vendor’s software product. But it doesn’t have to be that way, as a recent rollout by MSB demonstrated. The company rolled out the newest version of IntegriClaim (TM), a comprehensive property estimating application used by claims adjusters, contractors, and others across North America to estimate and manage property losses.
MSB, an MDA company and the worldwide leading provider of building cost data, technology, and services to the property and casualty industry, designed the upgrade to give clients greater efficiency in day-to-day property claim estimating and settlement, and more importantly, greater ability to face catastrophes like hurricanes and wildfires head-on.
This particular release was welcomed by MSB’s clients, who had nothing but praise for the ease of implementation and the increased efficiencies brought by the upgrade:
- a 20% increase in file transfer speed,
- dramatically improved speed for clients using dial-up connections and “air
cards”, and - direct database-to-database communication between independent adjusters and carriers.
MSB met its goal to support clients throughout the upgrade with minimal interruptions and optimal results. Tom Klenke, Property Claims Manager at Shelter Insurance, commented that the upgrade process was extremely smooth. “MSB technical staff promised an asymptomatic transition with the new release and they kept their word. Most important, they made a promise to their clients and they continue to achieve high marks. New release? I had not noticed.”
The rollout was not without a few minor bumps. Call volume to MSB’s Technical Support team increased by an average of 17% on the first day following the rollout, but by the following day, call volume dropped back to its normal level.
“An insurance claims department simply cannot afford to be left without their claims estimating technology,” adds Ella M. Ozier, Director of Claims Products at MSB. “Because of a concerted effort by our production, development, and support teams, we were able to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
That’s how Klenke sees it, adding “The process was extremely smooth for us, the customer.”
