MONTREAL, QUEBEC–Vigil announces today the signature of a national promotional services agreement with B+L Consultants group of Companies Inc. The agreement centres on the Vigil GPS Satellite tracking solution and will extend over an initial 3 year term. Under the terms of this agreement, 900 car dealers in Canada will be covered by the sales representatives of B+L, translating in sales objectives of 7,830 units and that could
represent $2,3 millions of revenue for the first year of the term.
Vigil GPS is experiencing a strong demand throughout Canada for its tracking systems. “This agreement ties in with the deployment strategy of a strong North American distribution base in order to meet our objectives”, stated Mr. Sylvain Gelinas, President and CEO of Vigil GPS.
B+L Consultants’ experienced network will provide Vigil with fast penetration of the automotive industry at key levels such as: retail automotive and recreational vehicle dealerships, the agricultural industry and insurance companies. B+L Consultants have secured a major marketing agreement with P & D Insurance, allowing the latter to distribute the Vigil GPS tracking system to their customers. P & D is an international insurance brokerage firm that manages and operates the Preferred Dealer Protection program, the largest insurance program specifically designed for Franchised New Car and Truck Dealers in Canada. P&D is a division of PDP Group Inc. that also operates a substantial Dealer program in the United States. Mr. Farid Ahmad, President of B+L clarified: “We have, jointly with P & D, compared products using similar technology and approached several players in the field over the last 1 1/2 years. We selected Vigil GPS for its effectiveness that will best suit our customers’ security requirements as well as providing them with a quick return on investment”.
Following the need expressed by its customers for security solutions to reduce theft and improve a poor recovery rate, P & D Insurance has secured commitments with its car dealership customers to equip their inventory with Vigil GPS systems, and will subsequently be offered as a value added option to the final vehicle purchaser. This single strategy component alone, part of a global rollout plan, will secure the targeted sales objectives of the agreement.
