Wawanesa Furthers Commitment To Brokers

Winnipeg, MB (March 28, 2022) – The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company’s new Broker Platform is now live across Canada, making it easier for independent insurance brokers to access tools and resources from Wawanesa.

“Independent insurance brokers are essential members of our community, helping Canadian families, farms and businesses protect their most important assets,” said Wawanesa’s EVP & President of Canadian P&C Operations, Carol Jardine. “That’s why Wawanesa is all-in on brokers and committed to improving the broker experience with Wawanesa.”

The new Broker Platform is a one-stop shop, where brokers can:

  • Access the Wawanesa’s systems they rely on to do business;
  • Submit claims and direct bill payments;
  • View reports and comprehensive dashboards.

Wawanesa is working to ensure a seamless transition from the legacy Broker Portal to the new Broker Platform.

Wawanesa’s new Broker Platform is the latest innovation in a series of efforts to improve connectivity between the insurer and its broker partners. The modernized platform builds off Wawanesa’s full implementation of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, which positioned Wawanesa as the first insurer in Canada to have all of its products available on-line. The company has also adopted numerous APIs that help make doing business easier, and is proud to take a leadership role in the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada’s D/X initiative.

“While other insurers are investing to compete with brokers, Wawanesa is investing to better serve brokers,” added Jardine. “The advice, advocacy and service that insurance brokers offer Canadians is second to none, and Wawanesa is proud to be 100% broker distributed across Canada.”
