Toronto, ON (Feb. 17, 2022) – BrokerLink is off to a strong start this year, closing the company’s largest acquisition in Alberta to date with Bow Valley Insurance Services (2004) Ltd. (“Bow Valley Insurance”), effective February 1, 2022. BrokerLink is one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance brokerages and this acquisition provides an opportunity for the company to expand its services to more community members in Calgary and the surrounding area.
A warm welcome to Bow Valley Insurance
Bow Valley Insurance has provided insurance options to Calgary and nearby communities for over 40 years. The brokerage focuses on providing a high level of customer service and offers home, auto, farm and business insurance.
“I’m confident that this decision will benefit our customers and enable employees to grow professionally based on BrokerLink’s network, scale and projected growth,” says Neil Gohill, Managing Director of Bow Valley Insurance. “Customers will still receive the attention and expertise from advisors they know and trust, and our employees will have access to all that BrokerLink has to offer. It’s a win-win!”
Albert Pol, BrokerLink’s Vice President, Alberta, is excited to welcome Bow Valley Insurance to the BrokerLink team, as he is passionate about helping community members find the right insurance.
“We believe insurance is about people and we’re here to help, which includes offering a choice of insurance solutions to our customers” says Pol. “Our customers can contact us in the way they prefer: in-person, by phone or digitally, to get insurance that’s tailored for their unique needs.”
Building on an established foundation in Alberta
Originally founded in Alberta over 30 years ago, BrokerLink has established solid roots in the province. In 2021, BrokerLink invested and expanded in the Alberta communities of Calgary, Edmonton, Strathmore and Sylvan Lake, through the acquisition of several respected brokerages, including Gold Key Insurance Ltd., Lakeside Insurance Ltd. and Blue Circle Insurance Ltd.
BrokerLink’s President, Joe D’Annunzio looks forward to continued acquisition momentum in 2022.
“Broker principals considering BrokerLink as an option can be assured that our acquisition model is based on aligning with brokerages that share our values,” says D’Annunzio. “We offer a strategic succession plan for Canadian brokerages and our door is always open to speak with broker principals who are considering the future of their brokerage.”
Since 1991 we’ve had a vision: to build a network of trusted insurance brokers across the country, working directly in the communities we serve. With more than 200 branches and 3,000 employees, we’re proud to say BrokerLink has become one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance brokerages.
