BobTrak partners with Lakehead on new Distributors module

Toronto, ON (Jan. 28, 2021) – BobTrak™, the Artificial Intelligence Engine for Insurance Distribution Management, is proud to partner with the Business Analytics and Information Systems group at Lakehead University’s Faculty of Business Administration in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, to define and build a minimally viable product (“MVP”) for a new module – BobTrak for Distributors.

Students from the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program will be working with BobTrak and with local and US-based brokers to create the application that will enable agencies, aggregators, and brokers to manage their Books of Business, reconcile commissions, forecast revenue, increase visibility for mergers and acquisitions, and enhance their marketing to potential and existing clients. Students Dustyn Cox and Zachary Grzelewski, under the guidance of Professor Michael Dohan, will work with BobTrak to gather business and system requirements, formulate a design, and deliver a product that will be taken to market in the US and Canada. The students will be receiving course credit for working on this project.

Professor Dohan is glad to have the opportunity to collaborate with BobTrak: “The students are getting a great experience working on real-world projects like this. In their 4th year, they are now ready to apply their technical knowledge to solve real industry problems and have a positive impact on companies and their customers. We are grateful for the types of connections in the insurance industry like the one we have with BobTrak.”
