Belleville-based McDougall Insurance Brokers announces another merger
Toronto, ON (Jan. 8, 2019) – McDougall Insurance and Financial has announced it has merged with Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd., effective immediately, and is pleased to welcome the employees of Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd. into the McDougall organization.
Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd. is a very successful broker operating out of Penetanguishene with 10 employees. They now join with McDougall Insurance and Financial to form an independent broker with 37 offices in Ontario with over 400 employees and over $380 million in property casualty premium and a strong and rapidly growing financial services division.
All Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd. employees will remain with the organization. All members of the Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd. management team including the current owner Rene Asselin will continue with the organization after this merger. Rene represents the third Asselin Insurance Brokers Ltd. is an excellent fit with the McDougall organization which is split with both commercial and personal lines as well as financial services. The merger will enhance our brokerage presence in Central Ontario as it adds a new location close to our existing offices in Midland, Barrie and Orillia.
