Toronto, ON (Oct. 10, 2019) – InsurTech Spotlight company Finaeo has been named one of Canada’s top 20 startups by the Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX).
CIX hosts an annual awards program to celebrate Canada’s most innovative and fastest-growing companies. The program aims to recognize companies across a diverse range of industries and technologies, including AI, medtech, fintech, big data, aerospace, security, SaaS and cleantech.
This year saw two categories of awards; CIX Top 20 Early and CIX Top 10 Growth. The companies are chosen by a selection committee of technology industry experts and investors from across the country.

There were more than 433 applications submitted from all regions of Canada for this year’s award. Companies were chosen based on a number of key factors including: product/service offering, depth of management, market opportunity and business model.
Finaeo was recognized as a 2019 CIX Top 20 Early recipient. This acknowledgement follows a series of accolades Finaeo has received this year, including Digital Finance Institute’s Top 50 Fintech, Insurtech North’s Pitch Winner and People’s Choice Award, as well as Fintech Startup of the Year nomination from the Canadian Fintech & AI Awards.
