Accident Support Services International Ltd. and the Hamilton Police Service are pleased to announce the opening of a third location in Hamilton to Service the citizens in the Hamilton Mountain district. The success of the 2 existing Collision Reporting Centres prompted the expansion of services to a third location servicing Ancaster, Glanbrook/Binbrook, Flamborough and the Hamilton Mountain areas.
Located in the Police Station at 400 Rymal Road East, the new centre will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
The opening coincides with new hours of operation for the existing locations. The Central Branch at 155 King William Street will now be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM until 7:00 pm. The East Branch at 2825 King Street will operate Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
The Hamilton Collision Reporting Centres provide a convenient reporting environment to the public for the investigation of property damage vehicle collisions. Rather than Police attending the scene of a collision, citizens would exchange information at the scene, and then have 24 hours to report property damage only collisions, towed or driveable, at the Collision Reporting Centre. Police will continue to attend collisions involving injury or death, alcohol, criminal activity, vehicles transporting dangerous goods or police vehicles.
Upon the citizens arrival at the centre, they will be greeted by a member of our staff, who will help them complete the police report, direct them to police personnel as needed, take a photo image of the damage to the vehicle and apply a �Damage Reported To Police� sticker to the damaged portion of the vehicle. Not only will the citizen be able to report their accident in a safe and convenient location, but we will also offer them the opportunity to immediately contact their Broker or Insurance Company to get their claim started right from the reporting centre. This provides the citizen a true one-stop solution and helps them get back to normal as quickly as possible. Insurance Companies fund the program; therefore, there is no cost to the public or police for these additional services.
Accident Support Services is under contract with the Barrie, London, Peterborough, Brantford, Belleville, Owen Sound, North Bay, Durham Region, Cornwall, and Toronto Police Services, as well as with the Ontario Provincial Police. Our goal is to facilitate an active partnership between the police and insurers in post accident care by providing knowledgeable advice and assistance to accident victims with empathy, integrity and availability. This results in increased convenience for the public as well as higher road safety.
