Going deeper, I believe that Blockchain is just not something that is intuitive or will be in the near future – especially when crypotocurrencies are thrown in.
I will trust the folks who have a solid hand on Blockchain and will promote this for one reason: Blockchain is a great tool to support and, more significantly, change the business of insurance and its results with customers. Read more.

ICTC2019: “A New Insurance Order” — 17th annual Technology Conference — Feb. 26-27, 2019 — Beanfield Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto

From Doug

Developing innovative products from new (or existing) technologies is a challenge for any business. Last week, CES2019 gave the public a look at the latest tech creations.

“Autonomous Car Kills Robot” – people (robots?) will do strange things to get media attention (any press is good press?). Poking at the social media comments, one can almost conclude that the event was staged, maybe only by the robot developers.

At least two speakers at ICTC2019 will reference the potential insurance implications of products they saw at the event.

For examples of P&C Insurance in Canada implementing technology and seeing results, see the briefs from the Technology Awards posted each week. The finalists for the awards will be announced at the end of January.

Our advisory board met on Friday. Great discussions and ideas which we will be working to implement for our future events.
