Hallelujah! Spring is sprung. After a brief winter comeback, the sun finally broke through and brought spring with it.

This (Earth Day) weekend, the community cleaned up the park across the road and after a couple of hours, the lawn and gardens too looked Spring-like. I saw daffodils in blossom and clumps of crocuses.

The discovery of a plastic-eating microbe is good news, but how has our society reached the point where so much is needlessly thrown away and wasted?

Reports routinely implicate processed and fast foods for numerous health issues. Plastics from water bottles and acrylic clothing have entered our water supply. Have any recent revelations changed your diet?

The food, apparel and packaging industries may be facing major changes – but this time, not because of technology.
