From Doug

After a week in the wilderness, my in-basket is demonstrating its own overgrowth as I work to catch up.

Social media, now more than a decade old (Facebook is 13), has changed the world. The number of options to communicate has grown exponentially, as has the number of messages.

Counting only texts, 97% of Americans send one or more each day; 23 billion each day, worldwide, have a 98% open rate (versus 20% for email).

Is it time to revisit how we communicate for business purposes?

Craig Weber, CEO of Celent, will address “The Art of Customer Connection” at our Executive Forum next month.

I will watch for advice. Will you join me?
