Dave Crozier
Senior Vice President – Operations, The Economical Insurance Group

Dave Crozier was appointed Senior Vice President – Operations for The Economical Insurance Group in January 2011. At that time he was also appointed President, Westmount Financial. In this position he is responsible for all field operations, divisions (Perth Insurance, Waterloo Insurance and Western General), subsidiaries (Family Insurance and Mattei Insurance), claims, sales & distribution, broker financing operations and other insurance holdings.

He began his career with Continental Canada (now Northbridge Insurance) in 1992 as a commercial underwriter. From 1994 until 2006 he was with Chubb Insurance Company of Canada, most recently as Vice President – Prairies. He joined The Economical Insurance Group as Vice President – Commercial Insurance in October 2006. His responsibilities have included commercial and personal lines underwriting and claim management, sales and marketing, and administration.

Dave is the Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Family Insurance Solutions (Vancouver) and of Mattei Insurance Services (Seatte). He also currently sits on the board of directors of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony as Chair – Fundraising, and on the board of trustees of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Foundation. Dave was a member of the board of directors of Slingshot Communications Inc., a marketing and communications company.

He graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992, and holds his Chartered Insurance Professional and Canadian Risk Management designations.

Sean Russell
Managing Director, Guy Carpenter

Sean joined Guy Carpenter as a Managing Director in 2007, where he is responsible for reinsurance placements for several regional, national and international insurance companies. Previously he worked for Swiss Reinsurance Company Canada, where he was Managing Director, Head of Underwriting and Appointed Actuary, responsible for overseeing all underwriting activities for their property and casualty business segments in Canada and the English Caribbean. Prior to Swiss Re, he worked for SCOR Reinsurance Company for three years in a pricing and reserving role. Sean started his insurance career at The Guardian Insurance Company of Canada as an actuary with responsibilities for pricing, reserving and ceded reinsurance, later assuming the role of Director of Personal Lines.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Bill Sinn
Strategic Marketing Director, Pitney Bowes Business Insight

As Strategic Marketing Director, Bill is responsible for the marketing strategy and development of its technology solutions for the insurance industry. This includes driving lead generation initiatives, brand development and awareness, web messaging and content, public relations and event support, collateral development, analyst relations, sales training and more.

Prior to joining Pitney Bowes Business Insight, Bill was employed by Teradata, formerly a division of NCR corporation. He was responsible for the marketing and positioning of Teradata’s data warehouse and business intelligence solutions in the insurance industry. He also has 12 years of insurance marketing and sales experience working for the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, one of the leading mutual life companies with headquarters in Horsham, PA.

Bill holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University.
