Jamie Bisker, Director - Insurance Industry Solutions, Salesforce
Jamie joined Salesforce in September of 2015 as Director, Insurance Industry Solutions and will help the Financial Services Team as they continue to drive innovations in insurance, banking, and wealth management.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Jamie worked at Aite Group from February of 2014 through August 2015 as a Senior Analyst in the Insurance Practice. Previously, he was the Research Relationship Manager for IBM Research from September 2011 to July 2013. In that role, he was as a liaison between IBM Research and IBM's financial services vertical. Recent activities include development and delivery of Cognitive Computing and Advanced Risk Detection for Financial Services presentations.
Prior to this role, he was the S&D Non-Life Segment Manager for the IBM Insurance Global Team from August 2008 until September 2011. Jamie started working for the S&D Global Team concentrating on the P&C industry. Jamie joined IBM Global Business Services IBV (Institute for Business Value) in October of 2004 and his major focus is on developing thought leadership for the global insurance industry.
Prior to joining IBM, Jamie worked for 5 years at TowerGroup in the Insurance Practice where he was most recently Director of Research for that area. As a research director and analyst, it was his role to understand the business models that drive the insurance industry.
Jamie held technology positions at Nationwide Insurance Enterprise for over 14 years including Technology Architect with the GatesMcDonald subsidiary, Technology Research Analyst for Intelligent Systems with the property and casualty company. He writes bylines for insurance and financial services publications. He has over 37 years of experience in information systems with 30 years in the insurance industry.

Patrick Bourk, Senior Vice President – Management Risk Practice, Integro Insurance Services

Patrick is the National Practice Leader for Integro's Management Risk Practice in Canada. As an insurance coverage expert, he provides technical expertise in the analysis, placement and negotiation of Management Risk insurance coverages including Professional Liability, Directors' & Officers' Liability and Cyberliability Insurance. Patrick also provides claims expertise and assists clients by managing and advocating on their behalf when it comes to Management Risk claims.
Patrick has been a part-time instructor at Sheridan College, teaching courses on law for business managers. Patrick has authored several publications in the areas of insurance coverage as it applies to corporate/commercial enterprises and has been a speaker at conferences and symposiums focusing on D&O, Professional Liability and Cyberliability Insurance.
Prior to joining Integro, Patrick was a Claims Lawyer for the Financial and Professional Services Group at Travelers Guarantee Company of Canada and its predecessor companies. Patrick began his career as an associate lawyer practicing corporate and commercial law with a regional and national law firms.
Patrick is a graduate of Windsor Law School and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Andrew C.M. Bourne, CPA, CMA, DIFA, CFF; Partner, BDO Canada

Andrew has exclusively practiced in the field of forensic and investigative accounting for over ten years. During this time, he has performed damage quantification arising from numerous commercial litigation disputes, commercial insurance claims, and fraud investigations. Andrew has assisted multinational corporations with large complex insurance claim preparation and has participated in investigations of fraud losses involving millions of dollars in misappropriation of funds.
Andrew heads up BDO Canada's Investigative Due Diligence Practice. He has prepared and delivered seminars to numerous insurance brokerages and industry groups.

Mark Breading, a Partner and Chief Research Officer at SMA, is a recognized expert in advanced technologies and their implications for the insurance industry. His specialty areas include the customer experience and analytics. He has exceptional knowledge and experience in many dimensions of the customer/producer experience, including omni-channel, customer communications, mobile technologies, CRM, digital content management, and contact centers. He has broad experience and insights in data and analytics, including business intelligence, advanced analytics, and big data.
Mark has more than 30 years of insurance and information technology experience in a variety of leadership roles. Mark is well known for his perspectives on innovative uses of technology in insurance and the future of the insurance industry. Mark leads the research program at SMA, and has exceptional knowledge and experience in all aspects of advanced technologies and solutions that provide value across the insurance enterprise – including analytics, customer communications, enterprise content management, telematics, and mobile technologies.
He has held both technical and business roles in sales, consulting, marketing, and business strategy, including roles as IBM's Global Insurance Strategist, Global Insurance Marketing Leader, and Director of Global Executive Conferences for insurance and banking. In these roles, he has advised C-level executives around the world.
Mark is a graduate of Bucknell University with a BSBA in Accounting and a graduate of IBM's Systems Research Institute with a major in Software Systems. He also holds an MBA in International Business from Liberty University.
Daniel Carrier, Director - Applications Development & Integration, Promutuel Assurance
Daniel Carrier has over 20 years of experience in managing projects and project teams in both public and private environments such as Hydro-Québec, Bell Canada, Air Canada, MédiSolution and Promutuel Assurance. At Promutuel since 2001, he previously managed an SAP implementation for the Banking group. In 2004, he started in the Insurance sector, becoming responsible for applications development in 2006 and from 2008 until the end of 2010, Promutuel undertook with great success the Agile Scrum migration for all IT development projects. His Guidewire product adventure started in 2011 with ClaimCenter and two years later with PolicyCenter.
David A. Crozier, President & CEO, Everest Insurance Company of Canada

David A. Crozier is president and chief executive officer as well as chair of the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors for Everest Canada, one of Canada's fastest-growing specialty property and casualty companies, which recently added a Specialty Commercial division. Since joining Everest Canada in January 2013, Dave and his team have been responsible for all primary insurance underwriting, claim, marketing and administrative operations of Everest Re Group in Canada.
Dave was previously senior vice president, operations, at Economical Insurance responsible for all field underwriting operations, specialty divisions, subsidiaries, claims, and sales & marketing. He was president, Economical Financial, chairman of Family Insurance Solutions of Vancouver, and vice chairman of Mattei Insurance Services of Seattle.
He joined Economical in 2006 from Chubb Insurance Company of Canada, where he was most recently vice president, prairies. Through his career at Chubb he held positions of increasing responsibility that include manager of an energy, property & marine department in Vancouver, regional marketing & sales manager for western Canada and vice president of personal insurance in Ontario. He began his career with Continental Canada (now Northbridge Insurance) in 1992 as a commercial underwriter in the Toronto and Vancouver offices.
Dave was co-founder and a member of the board of directors of Slingshot Communications Inc., a marketing and communications company. He currently sits on the Governing Committee of the Nuclear Insurance Association of Canada.
Alifya Curtin, General Counsel, car2go
Alifya Curtin is General Counsel for car2go N.A., LLC, North America's leading one-way carsharing program.
Alifya Curtin knew from a young age that she wanted to be a lawyer. So, after earning a law degree from New York Law School, she rolled up her sleeves and began gathering more than ten years of experience in the legal field. Today, she puts her passion and experience to work as General Counsel of car2go N.A., LLC, the market leader in one-way carsharing.
Alifya enjoys the challenge of navigating a complex new sharing economy that has virtually no legal precedent. Eager to effect change in an emerging space, Alifya often says that her goal is to find a way to say "yes" (with conditions) when another lawyer might say "no."
Alifya also serves as a collaborative member of the car2go N.A. Executive Leadership Team, guiding the CEO on critical business decisions. She believes innovation only happens when colleagues from various parts of the business break down silos and offer ideas beyond the scope of their specific function.
In her free time, Alifya can be seen running through Austin, TX, where she lives with her daughter Alina (a favorite guest at car2go Headquarters). Colleagues know that Alifya's door is always open, whether for expert legal advice or just a cup of tea and a friendly chat.
Michael Dombrowski, Managing Director - Technology Advisory Services, BDO Consulting

Michael Dombrowski is a Managing Director in BDO Consulting's Technology Advisory Services practice and is one of the practice leaders for the Cybersecurity Practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in information security, application development, enterprise resource planning (ERP), infrastructure and complex program management. He has significant experience in both the public and private sector across numerous industries, including financial services, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. He is also experienced in information technology (IT) strategy, IT optimization, cybersecurity, ERP implementation, IT cost reduction, IT organizational change, and IT/information system (IS) risk management.
Michael led the global IS/ID administration risk management operation for Citigroup, including entitlement provisioning and support services, compliance, data privacy, incident management, IS risk consulting, and governance. In addition, he led Citigroup's global compliance technology program, including anti-money laundering and Know Your Customer, working extensively with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Federal Reserve Board (FRB) regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining BDO, Michael was a Director of Operations and Technology, Global Information Security at Citigroup, where he managed a global shared service covering all business lines. He was also a member of Deloitte Consulting's technology practice providing advisory and consulting services to private and public sector clients.
Mike Fitzgerald, Senior Analyst - Insurance, Celent
Mike Fitzgerald is a senior analyst with Celent's Insurance practice and is based in Cary, North Carolina. He has specific expertise in property/casualty automation, operations management and insurance product development. Mike's research focuses on billing, business process and operations, social media use in insurance, and distribution management.
Mike brings extensive industry experience to the analyst role. Prior to joining Celent, he was vice president of enterprise underwriting solutions at Zurich North America, where he led the evaluation of technology alternatives to support a new underwriting product development process. He held a number of positions at Royal & Sun Alliance, including a field operations regional executive role. His technology implementation experience includes the installation and maintenance of billing, automobile policy administration, and workers compensation automation. In the 1990s, Mike led an initiative which delivered one of the first global online technical underwriting and claims learning platforms in the industry.
Mr. Fitzgerald has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Davidson College and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
David Gallagher, SVP - Marketing, Hubio Inc.
David is the SVP Marketing for Hubio. He is a key member of the Hubio leadership team, leading efforts to grow and expand the company's insurance technology solutions.
David has worked in Marketing and Sales roles for 25 plus years, beginning in the energy business, before shifting to the technology and software development sector with firms providing Billing, CRM, Inventory Management, and Job Costing products. He has worked with Hubio, and Hubio's predecessor firms, for close to 10 years, focussed on broker-carrier connectivity and integration, usage based insurance and connected car solutions.
He has contributed numerous insurance technology articles to Canadian and American publications, has presented at numerous insurance industry conferences and volunteers with the Insurance Systems and Accounting Association.

Joe Golobic, Principal, Park Lane Resources
Joe is a principal and founder of Park Lane Resources, an IT consulting firm specializing in Insurance and Reinsurance. Prior to Park Lane Resources, Joe spent over 25 years with Munich Reinsurance where for the last 15 years was deeply involved in Munich's Global Projects. Joe led the team who developed Munich's first Global Web base application that was used in 6 continents and over 50 offices around the world. At the conclusion of that project, Joe was given the responsibility to build and implement an enterprise level Reinsurance system for Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Accounting and regulatory reporting for each country where the system was used. That system was implemented for over 20 offices in 5 continents.
Joe started his IT career with IBM on the technical side as a Customer Engineer but after a few years shifted his focus to the software side. His Primary Insurance experience has been with Canadian General Insurance (now part of Aviva), Temple Insurance. Joe has been actively involved in a number of standards organizations (CSIO, ACORD).
Doug Grant, Partner, Insurance-Canada.ca
A keen analyst of computer and networking evolution for more than 30 years, Doug is cognizant of the changes that are occurring in the Internet insurance world and their impact on the industry.
He has been helping the insurance industry in Canada make effective use of technology for many years. From a business-impact and application perspective, he has helped individual companies and cross-industry groups in both Property & Casualty and Life insurance.
Doug is a founding partner in Insurance-Canada.ca, a leading Canadian insurance resource centre for consumers and insurance professionals alike. As a frequent industry speaker, columnist and consultant, he brings a unique perspective to his sessions and discussions.
Kimberly Harris-Ferrante, Vice President and Distinguished Analyst, Gartner
Kimberly Harris-Ferrante is a Vice President and Distinguished Analyst in Gartner Research, where she is responsible for monitoring the business and technology trends within the global property and casualty and life insurance industries. She has specialized in insurance technology within Gartner for over 17 years, working with global insurers on business transformation, IT innovation, and emerging technologies. She specializes in business strategies and technologies to support digitalization, distribution optimization, customer experience management, next-generation Web delivery, claims transformation and analytics/big data. She is an active participant in Gartner's BI/analytics and sourcing research, as well as managing the worldwide insurance agenda for Gartner.
Terry Hickey, Managing Partner, IBM Interactive Experience and Mobile Leader, Financial Services & Insurance
As a Partner with more than 20 years of experience, Terry currently leads IBM Interactive Experience group in Canada, which works with organizations in Financial Services and Insurance, among other sectors. Terry is a regular speaker at events across North America sharing his insights on transforming client experiences.
Karim Hirji, SVP - International & Ventures, Intact Financial Corporation
Karim Hirji is Senior-Vice President, International & Ventures at Intact Financial Corporation. His responsibilities are two-fold: developing international p&c opportunities for the company, as well as deploying capital to expand IFC's core competencies and invest in adjacent non-p&c businesses. As a part of his mandate, Karim has been leading the advancement of products and partnerships within the sharing economy.
Karim joined the company in 2001 in the Vancouver office where he worked in both underwriting management. In 2005, he moved to Toronto and had leadership roles in corporate commercial lines and finance. He was appointed as Regional Vice-President, Durham in November 2009 and assumed his current role in October 2015.
Karim has an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Honours) from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.
Jérôme Isabelle, Vice President - New Markets & Strategic Alliances, V-NEO Inc.
Jerome has over 20 years of experience in the fields of software development, computer sciences, telecommunication and P&C insurance. Since 2011, he has worked with Promutuel as the Product Owner of the ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter implementation projects.
Jerome has been the product owner and business architect of core system change and business transformation projects. He has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree and an MBA in Business Management from Université Laval.
Ben Isotta-Riches, CIO, Aviva Canada
Ben Isotta-Riches, Chief Information Officer (CIO), Aviva Canada Inc., has worked within the Aviva group for over 12 years in a wide range of roles across the group's UK Life, UK General insurance and Group head office, most recently working as Digital CIO focused on the development of digital technology for consumers.
John Kramer, Director - Business Development, Octo Telematics North America
John Kramer is the Director of Business Development at Octo Telematics North America. He oversees program management with Octo's insurance partners, and is involved in strategic initiatives to build new partnerships in North America and Canada. John has worked in the insurance industry for more than a decade in product, pricing and underwriting operations, and spearheaded pilot and production usage-based insurance programs with a top-10 US insurer, across multiple states. John is a regular industry blogger and speaker, and is passionate about the future of telematics and “connected life,” and the win-win opportunities for insurers and consumers in the areas of safety, health and productivity.
Catherine Kargas, Vice President, MARCON
Catherine Kargas, MBA, is a business strategist with over 25 years of experience providing consulting advice to executives in the insurance, transportation (with an emphasis on alternative propulsion technologies) and energy sectors. She is the Vice President of the management consulting firm, MARCON, and the Chair of Electric Mobility Canada. She is a founding member of the Transportation Evolution Institute, an organization whose goal it is to anticipate changes related to the evolution of mobility, to develop optimal strategies of our collective benefit and to act as an instrument for their implementation.
Catherine has worked with numerous players in the P&C space, including insurance carriers and brokers. She is a member of the Insurance 2023 group and an Insurance-Canada.ca collaborator.
Philippe Lafreniere, SVP - Insurance Solutions, Exigen Insurance Solutions
Philippe Lafreniere has been in the insurance and insurance technology field for 18 years. Philippe started his career in insurance sales and underwriting for a national insurer, followed by positions in systems and product development. As a software executive, Philippe has held leadership positions in Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales for various leading software vendors. During his technology career he has worked with both large and small insurers globally to assist them in deploying modern technology solutions and undergoing legacy transformation.
Philippe is a graduate of the Insurance Institute of Canada with the designation of C.I.P. He is an accomplished speaker, having presented at multiple insurance industry conferences. Philippe has also contributed to several print articles on underwriting, legacy-modernization and policy administration in several trade journals.
Andrew Lo, Chief Marketing Officer & Chief Strategy Officer, Kanetix Ltd.

As Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, Andrew Lo leads all marketing and corporate development initiatives for Kanetix Ltd., Canada's largest online marketplace for insurance and financial services. He is also a Business Strategy Advisor for Ryerson University's DMZ helping to develop entrepreneurs and startup companies at Canada's largest startup incubator.
Andrew has many years of experience as a business and technology leader for FinTech companies such as Filogix and D+H, and has developed organizations from startups into industry shaping ventures with over 4,000 employees.
Cindy Maike, GM - Insurance, Hortonworks

Cindy Maike is GM of Insurance at Hortonworks, and is responsible for the center of excellence for insurance and the go-to-market strategy for the industry.
Cindy has more than 25 years of finance, consulting and advisory services experience in the insurance industry, assisting clients globally with their business and IT strategy, with a specific focus on the business strategy and the usage of analytics to drive results.
Heather Masterson, COO, Travelers Canada

Heather Masterson is the Chief Operating Officer for Travelers Canada. In this role, Heather oversees a number of key teams within the organization including Business Insurance, Sales & Distribution, Operations, IT, Underwriting, Strategy and Risk Control. She has accountability for shaping strategy and driving execution while ensuring exceptional broker and customer experiences.
Before joining Travelers Canada, Masterson was the President and CEO of the Totten Insurance Group (TIG). There she was responsible for providing leadership and direction for Totten Group, and for managing the profitability of the company as well as its partner insurance carriers.
Possessing more than 20 years of insurance experience, Masterson has held number of executive roles over her career. Prior to Totten, Masterson was an executive at Hub International (the 10th-largest insurance broker worldwide), where she was Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Risk Management and International Client Services. Masterson also was the Vice President of AIG Worldsource — a division she built from zero to $50 million in just seven years.
A graduate of both Dalhousie University and Memorial University, Heather also holds an FCIP in Management from the Insurance Institute. She was an active member of the Executive Women in Insurance Networks (EWIN) Board of Directors, and is currently the Treasurer of the Insurance Institute of Ontario's Governing Council. Heather was also a recipient of the Hub International Chairman's Award for 2014 and an honouree of the 2013 Business Insurance Women to Watch award. Masterson is actively involved in the Women's Brain Health Initiative and The Insurance Supper Club --- an executive insurance forum for women.
Masterson lives in Toronto with her husband and their two daughters.

Logan Purdy, Manager - Road Safety Policy Office, Ontario Ministry of Transportation
Logan Purdy is currently the Manager of the Road Safety Policy Office in the Ontario Ministry of Transportation's Safety Policy and Education Branch. He began working for the Ontario government in 2001. In 2005, he joined the Ministry of Transportation as a Policy Advisor in the Safety Policy and Education Branch, which provides strategic policy planning and development, including stakeholder management of specific driver and vehicle safety policies to promote road user safety.
As a Senior Policy Advisor, he worked on the development and implementation of many successful initiatives as the lead Advisor providing full legislative support to: Bill 203 – Safer Roads for Safer Ontario Act, which tackled the issue of Street racing and Aggressive driving; Bill 118 – Countering Distracted Driving and Promoting Green Transportation Act, which tackled the issue of Distracted Driving; and Bill 126 – Road Safety Act, which combatted suspended drivers and impaired drivers.
He became a Team Leader in 2012 and has been Acting Manager of the Road Safety Policy Office since June 2014. Most recently, his office has led Bill 31 – Making Ontario Roads Safer Act, which will further combat drug and alcohol impaired driving and distracted driving. On January 1, 2016, it also brought forward a regulation making Ontario the first jurisdiction in Canada to allow for the testing of automated vehicles.
Ruby Rai, Underwriting Specialist, Professional Liability, Financial Lines, AIG Canada

Ruby Rai, CIPP/C, CRM, works on AIG's professional liability portfolio with a specialization in complex Cyber and Technology risks. She actively participates in public forums to promote AIG's expertise in cyber insurance and helps the professional liability team in Canada to stay ahead of the evolving cyber risk market.
Ruby has over 10 years of insurance experience which includes being a financial lines broker and spearheading the national cyber practice at Aon Canada. In her previous role as a broker, she advised clients in assessing their cyber risks and finding the right solutions for cyber risk transfer. Ruby is a certified Information Privacy Professional and also holds her CRM designation.
Ryan Rist, Director of Innovation, American Family Insurance
Ryan Rist is Innovation Director for American Family Insurance, where he oversees a research and development team focusing on innovative technologies with the potential to deliver a deeper understanding of customers, improve customer engagement and drive operational excellence. Ryan managed the Microsoft and American Family home automation accelerator that incubated ten of the most promising start-ups in home security, energy, water and automation. Ryan has worked in a variety of roles at American Family, including marketing and strategy, where he developed one of the first successful applications of in-vehicle technology in the insurance industry that led to a reduction in the frequency and severity of car accidents among newly licensed drivers.
Prior to joining American Family, Ryan started his career in supply chain at Lucent Technologies. In addition, Ryan cofounded a software start-up that developed patented technology to rapidly analyze large amounts of bathymetric data and predict the location of fish. He holds a bachelors degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
Chuck Ruzicka, Vice President - Research & Consulting, Novarica
Chuck has extensive expertise in IT leadership and business transformation as well as technology strategy for personal lines, commercial lines, workers compensation, life and specialty lines insurance. He brings both a strategic and pragmatic business perspective to all aspects of information technology asset management.
Prior to joining Novarica, Chuck served in a series of senior technology management positions at major insurance and financial services firms. His prior experience includes Liberty Mutual where he was CIO /SVP of their Agency Markets division and responsibility for global infrastructure software and security. Chuck also held senior positions at Progressive Insurance and regional insurance companies.
Chuck holds an MBA in Finance from the Ohio State University.
Elan Satov, Vice President - Digital Transformation, Aviva Canada

Elan Satov has deep experience leading large scale business and IT transformation programs in the Canadian P&C sector. In his current role as Vice President Digital Transformation at Aviva Canada Inc, Elan is the business owner of Aviva's Personal Lines Guidewire Transformation and Telematics programs. Since joining Aviva Canada in 2007, he has led the delivery of Aviva's Personal Lines product, pricing and broker technology initiatives. Prior to joining Aviva, Elan was a strategy and operations consultant focusing on insurance transformations in the North American Life and P&C industries. Elan also has significant systems engineering experience in the automotive industry.
Elan holds a Master of Business Administration from Ivey Business School, Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University and he is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. He is also a former board member of CSIO representing Aviva.
Liza Smith, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, OneShield

Liza has been focused on providing insurance companies with software solutions for over 15 years. Toni Tomic is the Vice President of Global Industry Strategy and Transformation for the insurance vertical. Toni is responsible for SAP's insurance solutions and global go-to-market Strategy. In addition, Toni is the executive sponsor for SAP's 20 largest insurance customers and supports SAP's customers focused on transitioning into integrated and digital insurance companies. Before joining SAP, Toni worked for 10 years in strategy and management consulting as a client partner focused on business & IT strategy, post-merger integration and restructuring programs in insurance.

Patrick is a founding partner of Insurance-Canada.ca with more than 25 years of experience enabling technology and electronic commerce in the risk management and insurance communities.
Patrick currently serves as Insurance-Canada.ca's Director of Products and Services and sits on the company's Advisory Board. He edits the Intersection, Insurance-Canada.ca's blog, produces and hosts on-line and in-person events, and develops bespoke offerings for Insurance-Canada.ca's clients.
Prior to his current role, Patrick held positions of increasing scope and responsibility with insurance companies, consulting firms, and technology solution providers. He served as Director of Information Technology for the Frank Cowan Company Limited, Canada's premier provider of public entity risk management and insurance services, where he carried management responsibility for all information technology development, infrastructure, and support.
Throughout his career, Patrick has held senior management positions with insurance companies, distributors, consulting firms, and technology solution providers. He serves on boards and committees of various industry associations.
Patrick authors articles for leading trade publications and has spoken at insurance and technology conferences in Canada, the US, UK, Europe, and Bermuda.
Eugene Wen, MD, DrPH, Vice President and Chief Statistician, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board

Dr. Eugene Wen is the Vice President and Chief Statistician at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB). He is responsible for the Corporate Statistics Division. He advises the President, CEO and senior management on evidence-based decision making, develops strategic projects and capacity in advanced analytics, assesses factors related to injured worker benefit liability and return to work, and builds predictive models to inform strategic and claim decisions. Eugene also facilitates cross-organizational collaborations on analytical affairs and liaises with the external research community and agencies. Eugene and his team have been using advanced analytics to support the business transformation of this century old organization.
Eugene was trained in both clinical medicine and public health.
Matthew Yeshin, Managing Director, Marsh Canada Limited

Matthew Yeshin is Marsh Canada Limited's National Practice Leader for Marine, Logistics and Transportation. Specializing in insurance solutions for clients in transportation, mining and technology, Matthew joined Marsh in 1992 and has gained practical insurance experience both in the North American market, and while working at Marsh UK, a leading Lloyds broker in the United Kingdom.
In response to the emerging liability needs and changing buying habits of the logistics and transportation industry, Matthew has developed a dedicated team of logistics and transportation specialists able to respond to the complex coverage and contractual issues of the industry, but who also understand the underlying cargo exposures and expectations of the shippers; from major international retailer to small local manufacturer. By understanding the interests of all parties to the logistics process, and streamlining the method for the delivery of risk transfer solutions, Matthew believes it is possible to develop balanced risk management solutions over heavy handed contractual transfers of risks.
As part of Marsh's global e-commerce initiative, Matthew has also been involved with the development of web-based insurance solutions designed to integrate with existing logistics and shipment management systems allowing clients to effectively select insurance solutions as both a added value offering or as a means to efficiently address a challenging contractual exposure.
