CNA Marine Operations has purchased a leading Web-based application from Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) for its OMMni.com ocean cargo insurance application. WebWriter(TM) Cargo solution is a fully secure, Internet-based software system that allows for online policy processing from quoting to binding. Designed to increase productivity and improve service, it lessens the workload for Cargo customers, brokers and insurers by eliminating the need for paper-based documents and providing an online platform to issue electronic certificates and declarations. British Columbia Proposes Tough New Licensing Measures to Improve Safety; IBC Applauds.

The government is launching a consultation on proposed new rules to strengthen driver safety. "The public, police, parents and communities have clearly told us they support stronger measures for young drivers," said Solicitor General Rich Coleman. "Last year, we introduced the toughest measures in Canada to deal with street racing. Today we're doing more to follow up on our New Era commitment to improving public safety. Really enjoyed the last week at a heritage conference in Winnipeg - "Friendly" Manitoba exceeded their motto. Winnipegers must have wondered who we were with many of us in our eighteenth century costumes at some of the events. Fond memories.
