Single AI Agent and Agentic Systems (Multi-Agent)

In Canada, CSIO eDocs facilitate the digital transfer of documents between insurers and brokers. Traditionally, automation tools have been used for decades to categorize and file documents, with manual intervention required when predefined rules don't apply. AI is now transforming this process.

A single AI agent can replace traditional automation, identifying and filing documents just as programmed tools did. A second AI agent, specialized in billing issues, learns from human operators, gradually handling more tasks while escalating complex cases to humans. Over time, an agentic system emerges, where AI agents collaborate: the first AI agent directs documents to the specialized agents, reducing manual intervention. As each AI agent improves, it feeds knowledge back to the system, enabling more automation.

With multiple AI agents tackling different issues, human workload shifts from repetitive tasks to oversight and complex problem-solving. This evolution in digital automation reduces processing time, enhances accuracy, and reshapes roles, allowing AI to take on more work while humans focus on higher-value tasks and look for new ways to derive a competitive edge.
