Non-agentic AI vs Agentic AI: a non-agentic AI is like a calculator – it gives you an answer when you input numbers. Agentic AI is more like a personal assistant – it anticipates your needs, makes suggestions, and even takes actions on your behalf.

Gen AI vs Agentic AI: Gen AI deals with creation and innovation, generating new content such as text, images, or music. Agentic AI focuses on decision-making. It is be more operational, acting with direct implications on business processes or technological ecosystems.

Agentic AI can deliver value to organizations struggling to find the ROI in gen AI which in many cases, still requires significant human intervention.

Co-Pilots vs Agentic AI: Co-Pilots are software extensions that provide real-time support to users of application features. Agents are features of AI tools that autonomously execute tasks and make decisions with minimal human input.

AI agents can be used across the insurance business, including underwriting, customer service, claims, fraud detection etc.

AI agents are becoming increasingly common in insurance – and richer in function.
