Innovating in Group Benefits

Insurance-Canada.ca focusses on the use of technology to make improvements in efficiency, quality, product and service, ultimately to create value and benefit.

Our recent webinar with InsurTech Spotlight participant Curv Health featured their COO, Mark Goad, who described their innovations in allied health care.

Curv addresses three fields – mental, nutritional and physical health – with a goal to help both the plan sponsor and individual member. Curv makes use of a platform and an app to help create value.

• Like generic telehealth, the service goes to the individual;
• A Care Guide (concierge) is selected by each person for advice and to coach through programs – both can be “at home”;
• Computer vision is employed to monitor rehabilitative progress
• Data is gathered and reported to the individual for progress, and anonymized to the plan sponsor

Mark described how a concierge for personal communications combined with innovative use of technology is helping Curv provide value for all parties.

You can watch the presentation on-demand – Mark starts around 3:20.
