(Technology) Trends in Insurance

We have seen a ton of new and enhanced technologies in the last decade – and the pace of new introductions and upgrades isn't slowing.

Insurance innovators are having a field day taking advantage of the latest.

Some – like APIs – are being rolled out now.

Within the industry, they are helping to improve processes, i.e. make them more efficient and potentially more effective, while at the same time helping to improve the customer experience.

Looking ahead to ecosystems and embedded insurance, where insurance is part of another industry's product, or the other product is “part of” an enhanced insurance product, APIs are essential to success.

One immediate concern this summer is the insurance office environment as we plan for the post-pandemic. Will work remain “from home” (or anywhere), return to the office, or function in some hybrid manner?

Explore the trends shaping insurance now on Tuesday, August 10, in Technology Enables, But People Innovate – part of the World Insurance Forum virtual series.
