Company: InsureToday

Business Category: An insurance practitioner (insurer, MGA, broker, agent)

Maturity Status: Startup (less than 3 years since product went into production)

Product or Service: Renters insurance online

Area: Property & Casualty insurance

Business description:

The traditional process of purchasing tenants insurance is both time-consuming and inefficient; InsureToday addressed this issue by launching a youthful brand focused on simplifying the purchasing process for renters in British Columbia. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Alteri Insurance, the new brand brings a fresh look and feel that will become the benchmark for digital insurance agencies across the country.

What makes us an InsurTech:

InsureToday has worked together with Apollo Exchange to offer a state-of-the-art experience when it comes to purchasing coverage online. As time progresses, the company will be integrating products directly into the application process in an effort to cross-sell the end consumer once they reach the register. As an example, the application process will ask the insured if they have pets (to allow for pet coverage quoting), if the insured has a home based business (to allow for online CGL quoting), etc.

Major features & technology used:

InsureToday’s technology is supported by Apollo Exchange.
