2016 Insurance-Canada.ca Technology Awards
Congratulations to the winners, runners-up, and finalists of the 2016 Insurance-Canada.ca Technology Awards! The winners, as selected by the ICTA jury, were announced at ICTC2016 on Monday, February 29, 2016, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The organizations recognized at the ICTA awards ceremony are shown below; more information on all the nominees is available via the Finalists & Nominees page. Thank you to the jury, to all the nominees, and to everyone who submitted a nomination or cast a vote for the People's Choice awards.

This year's ICTA winner was Bullfrog Insurance, for a platform which combines the components of broker management, customer relationship management and rating engine for small business in Canada.
Technology by Click Capital Corporation.

The first runner-up was Desjardins General Insurance Group, for the Ajusto Smartphone App. The first UBI app in North America, it was developed using innovative mobile sensing technology and sophisticated data analytics.

The second runner-up was Trillium Mutual Insurance Company, who implemented a New Business Property Portal for Farm and Residential business which excited broker partners, gave the internal underwriting team a new UI with significantly improved capabilities, and improved speed, performance and accuracy for new policyholders.

Bullfrog Insurance also took home the ‘PICTA’ for its once-and-done environment, which provides comparative quotes for up to four different quotes on more than 120 different businesses in select categories..

The first runner-up was Promutuel Insurance, who reduced staff training costs cost as well as their learning curve by implementing an innovative, three-phase e-learning platform, CAMPUS, to address the challenge of training its employees on PolicyCenter.

The second runner-up was Cornerstone Insurance Brokers. CSIB leveraged Zywave's Broker Briefcase, a sales, marketing and broker education platform, to move the conversation with clients and prospects from price to value

Honourable mention: Sharp Insurance offers brokerages across Canada the iMobileBroker – a comprehensive, user-oriented online and mobile tool to assist in providing customer service solutions that will increase client retention, reduce calls, and digitally streamline internal operations.
