Description of Technology Used
Mobile Service Manager (MSM): Web-hosted Handheld Computer with Operation Modules
The new, industry-leading Mobile Service Manager technology is an extension of ServiceMaster’s MasterMoments initiative and plays a significant role in further providing a platform for best practices, operational consistency, professionalism, and peace of mind to their customers.
This handheld computer system allows ServiceMaster Restore locations to provide accurate and timely reporting due to increased efficiencies and data collection in the field. This proprietary web-based platform uses barcodes to collect data and manage assets, has an on-screen signature interface, and transfers information wirelessly to the office reducing the administrative burdens. It is the only system available that integrates with the Xactimate pricing program.
Automated Water Emergency Module
The system is based on standardized field workflows and industry certification requirements. With the elimination of paperwork in the field, the MSM drives tasks and data collection, assist with drying strategy through equipment sizing and moisture mapping, and manages the job equipment. The module integrates the data to develop supporting documentation such as drying records and more.
Automated Content Inventory & Packout Module
This module provides on-site data collection with real-time detailed inventory, activity and contents tracking, chain of custody, and on-site wireless printed reports. The system gives the ServiceMaster Restore technician the ability to scan every item and record the item’s location, soil level, boxed or non-boxed status, pre-existing condition and treatment requirements.
Deployment of Technology
The MSM technology has been implemented in ServiceMaster Restore Franchisees and ServiceMaster’s Internal Training Program.
