South Simcoe Police Service to Open Collision Reporting Centres

Toronto, ON (Jan. 2, 2019) – Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI) is proud to partner with the South Simcoe Police Service on the implementation of Collision Reporting Centres (CRCs) in the towns of Bradford West Gwillimbury and Innisfil, Ontario. The Innisfil CRC will open January 8th, 2018 at 9:00 a.m, followed at 11:00 am by the Bradford West Gwillimbury location.

Accident Support Services International Ltd. has provided superior customer service since 1994.  ASSI’s goal is to facilitate an active partnership between police and insurers in post-accident care by providing knowledgeable advice and assistance to accident victims.  This results in increased convenience for the public as well as greater road safety.  Supporting insurers fund the program; there is no cost to the police or the public for these services.

“The Collision Reporting Centres will allow for better utilization of our officer’s time and will keep not only our members but the community safe by removing collisions from the side of the road quickly and in an efficient manner,” said Chief Andrew Fletcher, South Simcoe Police Service. “The Centres also provide a safe and comfortable environment for members of the public to file their reports.”

The South Simcoe Police Service Collision Reporting Centres are located at 81 Melbourne Dr. in Bradford West Gwillimbury and 2137 Innisfil Beach Rd. in Innisfil. Hours of operation will be from Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm in Bradford West Gwillimbury and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Innisfil.

Upon arrival at the centre, citizens are greeted by a member of Accident Support Services’ staff, who provides help to complete the police report, applies the “Damage Reported to Police” sticker, photographs the damage to the vehicle, and offers the customer the opportunity to contact family, broker or insurance company directly from the Centre. The citizen is provided with a one-stop service opportunity for all their reporting needs.

Participation in the CRC program allows participating police services to reallocate officers from collision reporting to higher priority calls for service.  Collision reporting is moved from the side of the road to a safe and comfortable location for citizens, preventing possible secondary collisions and injuries.  Police services also gain valuable insight into traffic patterns and high-risk locations through powerful analytics tools, allowing them to be proactive in their response and potentially stopping collisions before they can happen.

The goal of ASSI is to facilitate an active partnership between the police and insurers in post-accident care by providing knowledgeable advice and assistance to accident victims with empathy, integrity and availability.
