New launch reinforces Aviva’s commitment to grow its Accident and Health portfolio
Toronto, ON (May 3, 2018) – As a complement to its commercial business, today Aviva Canada announced the launch of Aviva Group Critical Illness insurance. The second product to launch in Aviva’s Accident and Health portfolio, following the release of Aviva Commercial Accident last fall, Aviva Group Critical Illness insurance is a group plan for employers, associations or unions that provides financial protection for their employees, plan members and their spouses.
Aviva has been vocal in its commitment to provide Accident and Health coverage in Canada, with plans to continue introducing products organically into the market – diversifying its business while leveraging its global presence and expertise.
“Globally, Aviva is very well known and extremely well respected for its Accident and Health portfolio,” says Terri Mitchell, Executive Director of Accident and Health at Aviva Canada. “Our plan is
to leverage this experience to deliver a comparable breadth of product offering here in Canada, diversifying our business and offering a holistic suite of products for our brokers. Our ultimate goal is to be a one-stop shop for the personal and professional insurance needs of Canadians. This product is one of the first steps in getting us there.”
Following the launch of these first commercial products, Aviva Canada plans to introduce Accident and Health for personal lines, including an individual critical illness product. Always thinking Digital First, Aviva is committed to delivering these in an innovative way – enabling an end-to-end digital solution for brokers making it easy to leverage and engage with this new product line as it develops.
