SGI CANADA and Nuera Insurance enter into partnership agreement

Regina, SK (Apr. 30, 2018) — SGI CANADA and Western Canadian-based online brokerage Nuera Insurance have entered into a partnership agreement to offer SGI CANADA’s personal lines products in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba and Ontario.

The partnership includes a loan that SGI CANADA has converted into 15% equity in the brokerage.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with Braden Bosch and his talented team at Nuera to provide a simple and convenient online experience for consumers,” said SGI CANADA President and CEO Andrew Cartmell. “Nuera has an established track record of online sales and experience reaching online insurance customers. We wanted to plug into that experience, selling our products while also developing and refining our real-time data exchange capabilities.”

In addition to the Nuera partnership, SGI CANADA is developing real-time data exchange capabilities to leverage for other interested online broker partners through application program interfaces. This will allow brokers to provide SGI CANADA products within their own customer online solutions.
