Boston, MA (Feb. 5, 2018) – allai, a Montreal-based InsurTech startup, is preparing to launch Canada’s first insurance AI app store for brokers and carriers.
As Canada’s march to the forefront of AI in talent, research & development and technology continues the Montreal based startup wants to help accelerate Canada’s broker and carrier march to the forefront of an AI enabled insurance industry to meet the rapidly evolving digital expectations of today and tomorrow’s insurance customer.
“In order to do so we need an AI operational model that removes the barriers of adoption, the AI friction points so to speak” says Carlos Benfeito, allai founder and 17-year insurance industry veteran. “We need out of the box, ready for Canadian insurance AI capabilities that not only address insurance friction points but the growing AI friction points as well, such as data intellectual property”
allai is addressing this by bucking the current trend of being an AI as a cloud service provider to offering AI as a downloadable micro-service that allai calls “aims”.
“Like an app from an app store, brokers and carriers will be able to go to allai’s aim store and select, download and deploy the AI capabilities that they want to use and none of their data IP is shared”
Examples include an AI conversational FNOL, home quote, claims update, snap a pic get an auto quote etc. which can be used by brokers and carriers in their mobile, digital, web or backend solutions.
“We are really focused on removing the friction points that are holding back AI technology which not only include being ready out of the box for Canadian insurance but importantly removing the barriers of entry for brokers and carriers to access and try AI capabilities before making any type of heavy commitment.” Brokers and carriers will be able to download and try the aims for free.
allai will be releasing aims for P&C in personal lines automobile and personal lines property to begin and plans to offer aims in commercial lines as well. The Montreal startup is readying to launch the aim store at the start of Q3 2018 and release new aims as they become available.
