A new array of alternative distribution options has emerged in recent years for insurance carriers to consider
Boston, MA (Jan. 30, 2018) – Aite Group’s latest report, Innovative Insurance Distribution: Can Vendors Provide What Carriers Want?, focuses on the expansion of distribution options available to both life and property and casualty insurance carriers as well as on what carriers should be looking for with regard to these partnerships. Online distribution is not going away, and several options now allow for a fully online insurance purchase experience devoid of any human interaction. Insurance carriers need to know what options they have available to them and the breadth of what they can do.
“What are insurance carriers looking for from these innovative online distribution partners? Quite simply, they are looking to replicate the experience they have with their traditional brick-and-mortar agency channels while offering a different experience to prospects and current policyholders,” says Aite Group senior analyst Jay Sarzen.
This report is based on 28 interviews conducted from September 2017 to December 2017 with executives at nationally known insurance carriers in the United States and with executives at online distribution vendors.
