Insurers turn to CGI’s Ratabase 8 for transformative capabilities without development risks

Eight insurers have gone live with the latest release over the past 12 months

Fairfax, VA (Sept. 30, 2016) – CGI has indicated Ratabase, its innovative product configuration and rating platform, is gaining momentum as leading insurance companies are using the solution to meet greater customer expectations than ever, to empower business users and to gain immediate competitive advantage. Over the past 12 months, eight insurers have implemented the latest release and more than 24 plan to do so over the next 12 months.

“Insurance success means greater market segmentation, better trend analysis, delivery of real-time consumer coverage options and profitability while coping with razor thin margins,” said William McCarter, Vice President and leader of CGI’s Insurance Solutions Group. “In this business environment, only the most sophisticated, flexible and agile rating solution will do. The momentum we’re seeing with carriers implementing Ratabase 8 suggests the solution is the perfect alternative providing fully transformative capabilities without the trauma of a major systems development.”

Ratabase 8 has been integrated and in production with multiple policy administration platforms. As the enterprise rating solution, a single Ratabase instance will connect to multiple policy platforms concurrently to simplify and standardize rating content.
