Toronto, ON (Oct. 29, 2015) – ORBiT Canada is hosting their annual Members’ meeting on Tuesday November 10th at The Insurance Institute in Toronto.
This is ORBiT’s annual learning, sharing, and strategic planning event focused on shaping the Real Time agenda for the industry in the coming year. The event addresses top priority topics for brokers, vendors, and carriers.
“Attending our Members’ meeting is a great opportunity to sink your teeth into the Real Time future,” said Wendy Watson, president of ORBiT. “Your opinions matter and this is the perfect venue to have your voice heard.”
The day features several presentations.
A keynote address, titled “Security Breach: It’s Not If, It’s Not When, It’s Will You Know,” reveals some interesting truths on cyber threats. It will be presented by Megan Brister, Senior Manager of Cyber Risk, and Ashkan Rahimian of Deloitte Canada.
A panel of insurance outsiders will discuss self-service technology and how to deliver on the evolving expectations of customers.
There will also be a glimpse at a new initiative aimed at boosting Real Time adoption rates. This project is co-produced by ORBiT and the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO).
The event also shares the progress made by ORBiT’s working groups, made up of volunteers who help shape Real Time workflows between brokers and carriers.
Sponsors for this event are ClearPay, Deloitte Canada, Towers Watson, and IBM Canada.
