Regina, SK (May 27, 2015) – Good insurance is an act of care, and SGI CANADA cares about customers. That’s why it’s become the only insurer in Saskatchewan to offer DAS Legal Expense insurance as an included coverage in all home policies – including home plans in Agro Pak policies, as of July 1, 2015.
Other insurance companies may offer legal expense insurance as an added coverage, at additional cost for the customer. Including it as an automatic coverage for SGI CANADA customers means they are protected from unforeseen issues.
“We are serious about being the insurer of choice for Saskatchewan home owners. This is another way we are differentiating ourselves,” said Don Thompson, SGI CANADA’s VP of Product Management. “We know that 55 per cent of Canadians who accessed the legal system in the last five years were not represented by a lawyer and 63 per cent couldn’t afford to even consult a lawyer on a legal issue, according to an Ipsos poll of Canadians. With DAS, SGI CANADA is ensuring customers can get the legal assistance they need, when they need it.”
DAS Legal Expense insurance is coverage customers control. At any moment, they can choose to use the unlimited access to legal advice – something they have been taking full advantage of.
Customers have called for free legal advice about landlord/tenant disputes, tax issues, family law, wills and estates, and criminal matters, to name a few. Even if the legal issue isn’t covered by the policy, they can still get help.
It’s insurance, as an act of care.
