has announced the three recipients of the 1st annual Kealy Awards at their User’s Conference. The Kealy
Awards honour Keal brokers for excellence achieved in three distinct categories: Community
Involvement, Technology, and Brokerage Operations.
Darling Insurance & Realty Limited of Peterborough, Ontario were winners in the category of Excellence
in Community Involvement. Serving Peterborough and area since 1928, their five offices and over 50
employees are committed to assisting their clients with integrity, professionalism and efficiency, while
promoting leadership in the community. Scott Bosnell, Controller at Darling Insurance, after receiving
the awarded added, “What a great surprise to receive a Kealy Award in this category. We love our
community and believe in paying it forward. We are so happy to be able to do what we can. We hope
the Kealy Awards will bring more of the great things happening in other brokerages’ communities to the
forefront.”
Dale-Parizeau-Morris-Mackenzie Inc. of Montreal, Quebec were honoured for Excellence in Technology.
With over 150 years of experience in the insurance industry, DPMM is the largest insurance brokerage in
Quebec with over 350 brokers providing both personal lines and commercial insurance solutions to their
clients with the aid of Keal Technology’s suite of products. Jean Charles Dupuis, Vice President of

And Gillons’ Insurance Brokers Ltd. of Fort Frances, Ontario were presented with the award for
Excellence in Brokerage Operations. Gillons’ has been in business for 88 years, with eight offices and
over 90 employees. Technology is important to Gillons as it has and continues to provide them with
efficiencies that their consumers demand. Their focus is to acquire current technology, as well as help
innovate new technology, and at the same time invest in the best training to super utilize these tools.
Operations Manager, Lori Ford, said on behalf of her team, “It is an honour for us at Gillons’ to be the
first recipients of the Kealy Award for Excellence in Brokerage Operations. Our dedication to Technology

The winners were presented with a prize valued at $1,000.00 to further a cause of their choosing. For

The nominations for these awards were collected between June 27 and August 30, 2013 and yielded
more than 35 entries representative of six provinces across the country. Keal Technology is pleased at
the number of submissions and is looking forward to an increasing number of nominations for next year
which will be announced in May 2014.
