Existing Aviva Canada† customers to receive discount from Kal Tire
Toronto, ON (Sept. 24, 2013) – With winter driving just around the corner for many parts of the country, Aviva Canada, one of the country’s leading providers of home, auto, recreational vehicle, group and business insurance, is emphasizing the importance of vehicle safety through a new promotional partnership with Kal Tire, Canada’s largest independent tire dealer.

Some helpful winter driving tips from Aviva Canada and Kal Tire:
- Invest in snow tires. Snow tires allow drivers to stop up to 40% faster than all-season tires.
- Drive slowly and keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you.
- Check road conditions before getting behind the wheel and allow more time to reach your destination.
- Ensure your tires are in good condition; if uncertain ask at your next vehicle check up.
- Good vision is critical. Check your wiper blades to ensure they are in good condition.
- Pack an emergency kit at the start of the season and stow it in your trunk. Kit should include a flashlight, blanket, snow shovel, extra windshield washer fluid and anti-freeze, hazard flares and booster cables.
- Don’t take any chances. If driving conditions are poor and you don’t need to be on the roads, stay at home.
