Mar. 22, 2013 – iter8, a leading software solutions provider to the insurance industry, is pleased to announce that Aviva Canada has gone live with a real-time new business upload solution for Aviva’s Leisure & Lifestyle RV Insurance point-of-sale system. This allows brokers to make inquiries, obtain new business quotes and bind new policies all in real-time. L&L is an expanding market and providing brokers with ease-of-doing-business comparable to other personal lines products is an important step for Aviva.
iter8 participated in the development and integration of the solution using communic8™ to map data from the point-of-sale front end to the Aviva policy administration while leveraging CSIO XML standards.

The communic8 implementation takes the information provided by the brokers and integrates it with Aviva back-end systems, providing underwritten policies back to brokers. The same communic8 software supports several other critical Aviva initiatives involving real-time and batch integration for upload and download. Aviva’s eDocs solution, currently under development, will leverage the communic8 platform as well.
