Applied Systems offers the most comprehensive system for managing eDocs using the latest CSIO XML electronic document standard
Mississauga, ON (Feb. 12, 2013) – Applied Systems announced today that it has certified eight Canadian insurance carriers for the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) eDoc XML standard for the transmission of electronic documents between insurance carriers and brokerages. The CSIO XML eDoc standard creates operational and cost efficiencies for brokerages and improves customer service and retention through enhanced data exchange. The standard is supported in Applied Systems TAM® 12 broker management system and will be supported in Applied Systems Epic 7, which will launch in Canada and the United States in early 2013.
Adopting a more advanced eDocs standard has been a priority for the Canadian insurance industry. Applied Systems is committed to furthering standards in the Canadian market through adoption of the CSIO XML eDoc standard, which offers enhanced functionality to brokers over previous versions. Applied Systems took an active role in defining this specification so that it provides broad value to the insurance industry.

- Gore Mutual
- Intact Insurance
- Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance Company
- Peace Hills General Insurance
- SGI CANADA Insurance Services and affiliates Coachman Insurance Company and The Insurance Company of Prince Edward Island
- Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company

The standard provides brokerages with a configuration that makes routing of documents and attachments seamless.
