DKC launches new education sessions

Disaster Kleenup Canada is launching an exciting new series of education sessions aimed to help restoration and insurance professionals gain relevant and up-to-date information about the property industry and its new challenges.

The Western Education Roadshow will focus on two new but complimentary education sessions on “Hoarding” and “The Mystery of Contents.” Led by Art Johnson, a 25-year veteran of the restoration industry, each course will offer a half day devoted to industry-relevant discussion and real-life, problem-solving applications.

Hoarding

As property professionals, we are facing hoarding situations on a regular basis and witnessing the impact it has on insurance companies, housing providers, strata owners, condo associations, landlords, neighbours, and the general public. In this new course, we will cover topics such as the role of insurance and what strata councils, condo associations, and landlords should know. CE accreditation is pending.

Course dates available:

  • Calgary: February 27
  • Edmonton: February 28
  • Kelowna: March 5
  • Vancouver: March 7

Mystery of Contents

No longer do damaged contents have to be thrown out. Many precious articles can be saved and returned to like-new condition. In this contents focused course, we will answer such questions as “What important role does the insurance adjuster play?” and “How is the latest technology and procedures contributing to controlling contents restoration costs?” Understanding today’s capabilities will allow insurance professionals to realize the extent of how these services affect insurance claims. CE accreditation is pending.

Course dates available:

  • Edmonton: February 28
  • Kelowna: March 5
