iter8 and HTM Insurance partner to develop real-time inquiry capabilities

Jan. 24, 2013 – iter8, a leading software solutions provider to the insurance industry, is pleased to announce that HTM Insurance Company (HTM) and iter8 have signed a contract to develop policy, claims and billing inquiry capabilities for the HTM independent broker and agent channel. This represents the initial phase in HTM’s plans to provide technology solutions for their brokers and agents so they can effectively integrate with HTM in real-time.

Alec Harmer, President and CEO at HTM stated, “We are pleased to announce this project, and our choice to work with iter8, who demonstrated their leadership in this market to us. We are committed to providing advanced technology solutions to our brokers and agents so that it is easier to work with HTM. This is a major investment for us, and the benefits in terms of streamlined broker and agent workflow and improvements to policyholders’ service levels will be significant.” He added, “The first objective is to complete policy, billing and claims inquiry, and work is already underway. This will be followed by new business upload for automobile and property lines.”

Glen Piller, President of iter8 commented, “iter8 is Canada’s leading insurance technology provider, providing strategic solutions and products to Insurance carriers of all sizes, and HTM provides us with the opportunity to work with another Canadian mutual insurer. We are extremely pleased to be able to partner with them. Their goal of providing flexible, robust solutions to their distribution partners aligns with the iter8 goal to provide robust technology solutions that solve today’s challenges and are flexible enough to deal with those on the horizon.”

The iter8 product inquiry solution provides a proven, cost effective and easy solution for brokers and agents to see all information on a policy, utilizing intuitive navigation, effective drill-down techniques, and ready links to all related information. They can print or save the retrieved information.

The project covers property, auto and commercial lines of business, integrating with Keal Technology and Powerbroker broker management system users. A projected go-live live date of January 2013 has been set, which is extremely fast and both the teams at HTM and iter8 are focussed on this deliverable. Integration will occur with the HTM policy administration system, MCCG’s IBS5.
