RSA appoints Tony Hayes new Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Appointment to national senior leadership position supports growth strategy for broker business

Toronto (October 9, 2012) – Leading property & casualty insurer RSA is pleased to announce a key senior appointment within the organization to support the company’s continued growth strategy. Tony Hayes has been appointed to the role of Vice President Sales & Marketing, effective immediately. Tony will relocate to RSA’s Toronto Head Office from Vancouver, where he was previously responsible for the national sales strategy for RSA’s Personal and Commercial Insurance portfolios.

In his new role, Tony is responsible for leading RSA’s sales, distribution and broker development strategies from coast to coast across all lines of business including Personal, Commercial and Large & Specialty Lines. Tony will lead RSA’s national sales directive, distribution and growth strategy, broker customers, marketing, broker channel development and communications, in addition to owning RSA’s key broker partner relationships across Canada.

Tony’s main priorities include ensuring RSA continues to outperform the Canadian P&C market in both growth and profit, and the continued enhancement of RSA’s broker & customer propositions. This includes capitalizing on RSA’s extensive investments across all lines of business, while ensuring a smooth transition for Quebec brokers following RSA’s recent acquisition of L’Union Canadienne.

Tony brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role with the organization, from his established career at RSA as well as the broader insurance industry. Tony joined RSA in 2006 as Regional Vice President for B.C., where he advanced the company’s growth strategy and led the region through significant organic growth and the acquisition of CNS. Prior to joining RSA, Tony held senior roles in personal and commercial underwriting, as well as claims. The combination of Tony’s deep broker market expertise and his extensive experience working with affinity groups, credit unions and multinational accounts, makes him a tremendous asset to the organization as well as to RSA’s broker partners.
