Sutton Special Risk launches U.S. subsidiary

July 18, 2012 – Sutton Special Risk, a provider of Contingency, Kidnap & Ransom, and Accident & Health insurance, has announced the formation of Sutton Special Risk America, and the opening of their New York office at 810 7th Avenue.

“Sutton Special Risk has been active in the U.S. marketplace since our inception in 1978. Our U.S. business has continued to evolve and grow and, as a result, has necessitated the launch of Sutton Special Risk America to better serve our existing U.S. clients,” said Greg Sutton, President and CEO of Sutton Special Risk in a press release. “It will also enable us to further expand our distribution and product lines throughout the United States.”

Sutton Special Risk America has appointed Scott Lapp to lead business development. “Scott will be responsible for the sales and marketing of all of the Sutton Special Risk product lines,” said Sutton.

Prior to joining Sutton, Lapp was with Gallagher Benefit Services in Philadelphia where he was responsible for selling Health & Welfare products, in addition to ancillary lines and voluntary benefits.
