WATERLOO, ON, February 14, 2012 – The Economical Insurance Group achieved a major milestone in January with EnergieTM/MC, its web-based underwriting system, when it completed the rollout of Energie Auto in Quebec.
“We are leading the Canadian general insurance industry in moving away from legacy systems to a web-based solution,” said Steve Livingstone, Economical’s vice-president of personal insurance. “Having a web-based system brings us closer to achieving the ultimate goal of full integration with broker management systems.”
Energie is an investment in the future with the goal of providing increasingly intuitive and efficient workflows. Once fully integrated with broker management systems, Energie will improve a broker’s level of service to their clients for new business and policy changes.
The next phase for Energie begins this summer when Economical will begin rolling out Energie Property across the country in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Energie Property is already present in Ontario.
