ATLANTA – August 10, 2010 – Entering the world of life insurance and annuities can sometimes be a daunting experience. The vast array of complex products, functions, and terminology can be difficult to understand – let alone master. Managers and credentialed professionals new to the business need a proven way to assimilate industry knowledge and quickly become effective in their new role.
LOMA’s Insurance Immersion Program provides industry professionals with the essential knowledge and tools necessary for success. It’s ideal for managers and experienced/credentialed professionals (Audit, IT, HR, Training, and Accounting staff) who need a broad understanding of life insurance and annuities. Originally launched in 2008, Insurance Immersion is now available in multiple delivery formats, including Classroom Instruction, Virtual Learning and on-site, tailored sessions to meet company-specific needs.
“Our member companies asked us to develop a program that would get their employees up to speed on the life insurance and annuities business as quickly as possible,” said Mark Adel, Assistant Vice President, Education & Training at LOMA. “Working with an industry steering committee, we developed an instructor-led program that includes a variety of hands-on activities plus the real-world knowledge of industry experts.”
LOMA currently offers Insurance Immersion sessions in the United States and Canada. Upcoming classroom sessions will take place in September (Chicago, IL) and October (Windsor, CT). Virtual sessions are delivered using web conferencing technology and incorporate the highly interactive, activity-based format of the classroom Insurance Immersion program.
