TORONTO – July 8, 2010 – Pollara’s INSURPOLL survey of Canada’s home and auto insurance consumers is now available to subscribers. Since 1999 INSURPOLL has identified trends in the changing insurance consumer landscape including shopping and switching behaviour, perceptions of distribution channels, customer satisfaction with companies and representatives, branding and advertising and the role of the Internet in sales and service.
New issues explored in 2010 include consumer reactions to the use of social media by insurers and the appeal of insurance smartphone applications.
Angela Marzolini, Pollara’s Vice Chair and the study’s founder commented, We’re seeing tremendous enthusiasm among insurers about climbing aboard the social media bandwagon. One of the many issues explored in this edition of INSURPOLL is whether this enthusiasm is shared by consumers.
